Comment: David took over as our Secretary in February 1995 after 30 years in the Royal Navy and is our longest serving Secretary of Waterlooville Golf Club to date. Many changes have taken place since then, including a major refurbishment of the clubhouse, updating of our computerised membership system, and the introduction of payroll, Sage accounting, swipe cards and this website.

Comment: John has been our Head Professional since 1983. In 2007 he was appointed our Director of Golf and this has resulted in major improvements to the golf course, primarily additional main drainage but much work on the tees and trees around the course was also carried out and the general overall apperance of the course has been greatly enhanced. John has a very well stocked shop with very competitive prices for golf equipment & clothing, he also has a wide range of prizes available for competitions

Comment: David joined the Club as a member of the Junior Section and showed great promise from the outset. By 1985 his handicap was down to 3. He became Waterlooville's youngest ever Club Champion and won the championship a total of 5 times between 1985 and 1990. He became a member of the Hampshire and England boys teams and was a Best Young Hampshire Player of the year. He turned professional in 1991 and spent a little while as assistant at Rowlands Castle Golf Club before returning to Waterlooville
